We recruited East London band The Dexters to cover the 1966 hit song 'I'll Never Find Another You' by The Seekers and released the song as a free download from The Sun. Our World Cup Anthem which featured in the ad.
The lyrics to the song were printed in paper on the eve of the tournament, alongside a message of support for the players.
The paper was then delivered for free to every house in the country in the biggest door drop The Sun have ever done.
Online we created the #DoUsProud pride wall where all social activity using the hashtag
could be collected to show off fans supporting the team.
Fan kits and prizes were also sent out to those showing their support online.
Just a shame we went out in the group stages... again.
